나는 순은 또는 금으로 상감한 다양한 형태의 섬세한 도자 작품을 제작한다. 2015년 영국왕립예술학교에서 미시마 Mishima(일본에 전해진 조선 초 분청자의 양식을 모방하여 만들어진 자기로, 상감이나 인화기법으로 백토를 채워 장식한 것이 특징)기법을 연구하기 시작하여 <번개 상자Lightning Box> 연작을 선보이고 있다.

I create ceramic works made of different pieces of porcelain inlayed with either solid fine silver or solid gold. The sculptural boxes 'Lightning Box' is a contemporary outcome of her research on the Mishima (Japanese pottery that originated from buncheong ware dating to the 14th-15thcentury in Korea, the early Joseon period. The desired pattern is incised or stamped into the body and filled with white slip) technique, which started at the Royal College of Art in 2015. All items of the series feel heavy like stone as they are exquisitely made from solid porcelain and manipulated like precious stones. Scale plays an important role in her work, as each work on show fit in the size of the human adult head. 'Lightning Box' is an intricate, solid, polished porcelain work, hand-built from tiny pieces. Works on show at the exhibition: - Lightning Box: 01010011 - Lightning Box: 01010101 - Lightning Box: 01001110 - Lightning Box: 01010000 - Lightning Box: 01001011 Made in the year 2019
